The ACLS Provider Bundle includes the 2 mandatory resources in all Heart and Stroke Foundation ACLS courses, the 2015 ACLS Provider Manual (RE5110E) and the 2015 edition of the Handbook of Emergency Cardiovascular Care for Healthcare Providers (RE0120E)  at a discounted price.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation 2015 edition of the Handbook of Emergency Cardiovascular Care for Healthcare Providers incorporates the latest science and treatment recommendations from the 2015 Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. This essential pocket-sized reference tool is highly-popular among healthcare professionals and provides convenient, quick access to the latest resuscitation science and treatment information. The handbook is organized by basic, advanced adult and pediatric life support, and newborn resuscitation. It provides algorithms, protocols, sequences, drug dosages, and much more. The ECC Handbook is used in Heart and Stroke Foundation courses, and often included on hospital crash carts and accessed frequently in the field and on the floor by EMS and other first responders. The Heart and Stroke Foundation edition reflects Canadian clinical practice including systems of care and Canadian pharmacology.   Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) provides critical training to Canadian healthcare professionals, for the next level of adult emergency cardiovascular care. The Heart and Stroke Foundation ACLS Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2015 Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (2015 Guidelines for CPR and ECC). This course builds on the foundation of  basic life support (BLS) skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.

The ACLS Provider Manual contains all of the information students need to know to successfully complete the Instructor-led, classroom ACLS Course. It is designed for use by a single student, and as a reference tool before, during and after the course. The manual provides students access to a website containing mandatory and supplemental information and reference materials, including the ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment (must pass with score of 70% or higher), to help them successfully complete the course.   To find out about any updates or changes to these texts,  please visit the Errata section of Heart Shop , located under Categories.
